Gary Marcus, posted a letter which proposes a ban on training new LLM, beyond GPT-4, quoting huge security concerns as these LLM can turn evil or be used for evil purposes.

Even Elon Musk signed it, together with other researchers. This is absolutely insane, because Elon is the king of contrarian opinions and receives massive criticism from media particularly for his companies being unsafe.

Now the real questions is..

• Are they doing it, because they are scared of OpenAI rate of innovation and cannot catch up.

• Or is it really serious that LLM can get very dangerous and be a threat to humanity.. well lets wait another half decade to find out

In order to enhance Zoom IQ - an AI-powered assistant, a new AI-powered feature has been launched with the collaboration of OpenAI.

Apple has been super quiet in AI space.. Every other company and their grandmother has launched AI features or LLMs, so this is the first indication of what is to come..
