Alright! So, Google is using its Maps data in cities like Seattle, Jakarta, and Rio to reduce the number of traffic lights. Through this, they have already reduced stops by 30% and cut down emissions by 10% for 30 million cars every month.

All these numbers have to be verified, but if they are true, its amazing, because who doesn’t hate standing in traffic.

This is all part of their Project Green Light, where they want to add eco-friendly features.

CharacterAI introduces avatar-inclusive group chats

CharacterAI, a chatbot avatar startup has created a cool "Character Group Chat." This allows any user to get into group conversations with AI personalities like Elon Musk, Marie Curie, Albert Einstein.

Some other important points:

• The company feels that this feature would be used for themed discussions, such as travel or gaming, with AI personalities contributing to discussion. Community aspect feels similar to reddit with their subreddits.

• Previously Snapchat and Meta have successfully integrated AI chatbots into their group chat features, which shows how the general trend is going towards

• CharacterAI's has 30M monthly active users globally and they make $1.3M monthly.

Why It Matters: Adding AI personalities into our digital social spaces could completely change online discussion, setting a playful, but unsettling standard. Imagine Einstein chiming in, on your whatsapp group discussions with your friends.

AI Predicts future Corona mutations

Scientist at Harvard and Oxford have come up with an AI called EVEscape. It can successfully predict how viruses like COVID, HIV, and the flu might change in the future. Remember these viruses mutate all the time!

In their tests, they have successfully been able to predict major COVID changes. The idea is that with this tool, we might be able to counter future variations by making better vaccines and get ahead of future virus outbreaks.

Dont know if this will work, since we can have a completely new virus out of nowhere, but I am glad somebody is working on it. I guess 🙂
