ChatGPT saw a traffic decline of 10% — signaling its hype might be settling down
Traffic and unique visitors to the AI chatbot website, ChatGPT, saw a decline in June, with a drop of 9.7% and 5.7% respectively.
Despite these numbers, it's worth noting that ChatGPT continues to attract a larger audience than other major players in the industry, such as Microsoft's Bing and Character.AI, another popular AI chatbot site.
However, OpenAI, the organization behind ChatGPT, isn't entirely facing a downturn. Their developer site actually saw a traffic increase of 3.1% over the same period, indicating a sustained interest in their technology and applications.
Some people speculate that’s because of the summer vacation; students and professionals are on vacations, and therefore, they’re not turning to ChatGPT.
Or is it that the hype is wearing off? What do you say to this?
Twitter is dead now? Thread, an Instagram app, reaches a whopping 23 million sign-ups in 12 hours only.

Threads, launched to the public in 100 countries, and the response has been phenomenal. A slew of celebrities and media outlets were among the early adopters, adding to the hype.
Even Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg seems to be all in, actively engaging with users on the platform and even reviving his decade-long dormant Twitter account to make a quip about the situation.
Analysts believe that if high-profile Instagram users start regularly posting on Threads, the platform could potentially outgrow Twitter.
Interestingly, despite the fierce competition, Threads was pitched as an "open and friendly platform for conversations" by Instagram chief Adam Mosseri.
So, what's your take on this? Do you think Threads has the potential to eclipse Twitter, or is this just another fad? Let's talk.
