1. The Secret History of Elon Musk and OpenAI’s Sam Altman 😱

The secret story is that Elon Musk wanted to take over the company in 2018 and run it himself. Remember Elon, together with other researchers, cofounded OpenAI, as a non-profit organisation in 2015. They collectively invested $1 billion

Since then a lot has changed and OpenAI has received more than 10 Billion in funding from Microsoft and is no longer a non-profit.

In beginning of 2018, Musk told Sam Altman, another OpenAI founder, that he felt that the project had severely fallen behind Google and therefore wanted to take command of OpenAI.

2. Langchain adds AI Plugins 📣

LangChain, as an open source alternate to ChatGPT, has kept up with the most recent advancements in AI with fast pace. LangChain has upgraded their toolkit with a "AIPluginTool" in order to support the advancement of open AI since OpenAI released their Plugin, which allows users of ChatGPT to interact with apps.

In recent weeks, OpenAI's Chat GPT has attracted a lot of attention, giving rise to new AI-based 📚 libraries, companies, and even entire industries. Although it offers many excellent use case studies, it is not an open protocol. Therefore its quite exciting that Langchain is shipping very fast.

3. Will AI take your job? 🤔

OpenAI has released a new paper showing impact of AI on the job market.

We have summarised it for you:

Jobs in danger: Tax Advisors, mathematicians, financial analysts

Other exposed jobs: Writers, authors, translators

It also mentions that more than 80% of employeed people will see 10% of their tasks impacted. And for 19% employees, more than 50% of their work is going to substantially change.

My take: I was initially also scared of AI impact on jobs, but soon realized, its better to adopt AI and leverage it, than to be fearful of it, because its now inevitable.
